]]> Within the context of the WOOL2LOOP-project concerning the recycling of mineral wool, Recyling Assistance now has a “Handheld XRF Analyzer” at its disposal (Vanta VCA by Olympus). This device enables fast, on-site and non-destructive chemical elemental analysis up to ppm-level. Besides characterisation of mineral wool in demolition projects, the handheld XRF analyzer can be used to identify lead in paints, for soil analysis and environmental remediation (e.g. tracking residues of zinc ashes) and to identify scrap for recycling purposes.
