Circular economy: construction and demolition waste reused on an unprecedented scale in the renovation of the WTC towers in Brussels

Tonight the Belgian news magazine Terzake showed a report about the circular economy and the reuse of construction and demolition waste. The renovation of the WTC towers in Brussels is a good example of this. Recycling Assistance is also trying to contribute a circular construction sector, for example through the European WOOL2LOOP project, which investigates the recycling of mineral insulation material. In the context of this project, Recycling Assistance collected mineral wool waste samples at various demolition sites in Belgium, including in the same WTC towers shown in the report.
